Would you like to learn a new language? Or maybe your job requires that you learn a new language. In either case the fastest and easiest way to learn a new language or even bush up on the second language you studied in school is with the use of foreign language audio study courses.
There are many such courses available today and the top of line are Simon and Schuster’s Pimsleur Language courses.
About Pimsleur Language Programs

Developed by renowned linguist, Dr. Paul Pimsleur, Simon and Schuster’s Pimsleur Language courses provide the listener with a comprehensive, self instructional, step-by-step guide on how to learn a new language.
With Pimsleur Language Programs you don't just study a language, you learn it - the same way you mastered English! And because the technique relies on interactive spoken language training, the Pimsleur Language Programs are totally audio - no book is needed! The unique audio method allows the listener to learn pronunciation, vocabulary and grammar without repetitive role learning, in a similar way to how we acquired our native language components.
The Pimsleur programs provide a method of self-practice with an expert teacher and native speakers in lessons specially designed to work with the way the mind naturally acquires language information. The various components of language - vocabulary, pronunciation and grammar - are all learned together without role memorization and drills. Using a unique method of memory recall the programs teach listeners to combine words and phrases to express themselves the way native speakers do. By listening and responding to thirty minute recorded lessons, students easily and effectively achieve spoken proficiency.
The Pimsleur approach is so effective because it is based on tried and tested techniques and principles that have proved to enable rapid and successful language learning. No other language program or school is as quick, convenient, and effective as the Pimsleur Language Programs.

LISEY'S STORY
Stephen King
Read by Mare Winningham
Mystery & Suspense
Unabridged
19 hrs.
Two years into widowhood, Lisa “Lisey” Landon believes she’s getting on with her life. But her sister’s psychotic episode forces Lisa to confront her own past and present in a new way. Mare Winningham sounds convincing in Lisey’s first-person narration, conveying longing, sadness, and anger in varying tones of subtlety and force. She shades her voice slightly to portray Lisey’s sisters and late husband, maintaining distinct characterizations for all. For the secondary characters, Winningham attempts both Maine and Pittsburgh accents, neither of which portrays its proper region. Given her choice not to use regionalisms for the protagonists from these areas, one wishes she had remained consistent with their relatives. R.L.L. © AudioFile 2007, Portland, Maine

Happy New Year…Wow it's 2008 already
It seems like just yesterday we were all worrying about the Y2K Bug!!!
I'd like to start this first post of the new year with a couple questions.
You enjoy audio books, right? Do you also enjoy books in print and how about ebooks? Most people that enjoy listening to audio books also enjoy reading print books or eBooks whenever possible.
Well in this post I'll tell you about a way for you to get one audio book, one eBook and one print book each and every month plus help raise money to send books to children who otherwise would not have access to them.
If this sounds like something you'd be interested in please take the time right now to watch this short video. It could change your life and make 2008 your best year ever. Oh and did I mention that you can make money at the same time.
The video is called "Winning in the Margins" and you'll need the passkey: goal in order to watch it. Once you're at the video you may also need to scroll down in order to see the "begin" button…press that button and you're on your way.
I hope you enjoy the video and if after watching it you have any questions please leave a comment and I'll answer as soon as I can.
