Downloadable Audio

Yesterday I briefly mentioned the fact that digital or downloadable audio books offered more options for listening to and enjoying them then books in other formats.

Today I’d like to list just a few of those options that come to mind.

1. In the kitchen. The time spent preparing meals or washing dishes is perfect for lisening to an audio book because your hands are busy and the mind is free.

2. In the garden. Gardening in and of itself is very enjoyable for many people. Today there are many audio books available on the subject of gardening and you can listen to one while your gardening. Very little concentration is needed for gardening which allows you to focus more on your audio book.

3. While exercising. Exercising such as jogging or even in the gym leaves your mind open but your hands, legs and even your entire body busy. This is a great time to enjoy a good audio book. Sure you might be sweating but this is a great opportunity to claim back some lost time. So, exercise your body and your mind at the same time.

4. While traveling. Be it by car, bus, plane or train. We all spend at least some time commuting or traveling and this time provides an excellent opportunity to listen to an audio book. Why not use this time to listen to an audio book, especially one that develops your mind or improves your professional and business skills? What a great opportunity to learn a new language. When asked where you learned to speak Spanish, you can say ‘In my car!’

5. Walking the dog. I spend about three hours a week walking my dog. He doesn’t talk to me so I take the opportunity to put three hours back into my life by listening to an audio book. Some people might even give more time to their dogs with more time available to listen or learn.

6. In bed. Yes I know lots of people already read books in bed but listening to an audio book still has great advantages. You won’t have to bother with holding the book, especially a hardback, and finding balance between a comfortable position and the ease of reading. No adjusting your spectacles and no turning off the light. With an audio book it is pleasure all the way.

Why not give an audio book as a Valentine’s Day gift to your sweetheart? Audio books make great gifts for any occasion and Valentine’s Day is no exception. Choose an audio book about love and romance or an audio book of romantic poetry and you’re sure to win your sweethearts affection.
Here’s a couple of ideas of how to present your audiobook gift.

1. Select your audiobook title, download to your computer, then burn it to a CD. You can take this idea even further by adding a romantic label to the CD and printing an insert to match for the case.
2. Buy a nice bouquet and add the CD and a card.
3. Buy your sweetheart a nice MP3 player and upload your audio book to it.
4. Add some flowers to idea number 3 and you can’t loss.

Okay that should get your creative juices flowing.

Last night I was doing some keyword research using NicheBot V2 for the search term audio books. The tool I was using (Keyword Discovery) returns other suggested keyword phrases for the phrase you enter based on it popularity. Much to my surprise and delight I discovered that christian audio books ranked number 13 out of 1000 with 5778 searches. Anyway with that many searches a month for christian audio books I think it's only fitting that I use links to just a few of the christian titles available at our store. If you have a website and/or blog of your own or are a webmaster of a church these same type of links can be embedded with your affiliate ID or the affiliate ID of your fund-raiser at your church or other group. The first five links are graphic links and the next four are text links. The graphic links work well as small banner by themselves or in groups as you see below. The text links work great inline with other text. Either way you or your group can earn up to 20% commission on each sale generated from your links. I trust all of you had a great Christmas and I hope you were able to spend at least part of it with your family and friends. I know for me getting together with my family to celebrate the birth of Christ is the best part. All the food and gifts are great but none of that means much without family. And as far as gifts go the greatest gift of all is Jesus.

Now on to the New Year.

Today marks the beginining of a whole new year and I’d like to take this opportunity to wish each and every one of you a very blessed one.

Moving forward into this new year the I’d like to talk a little about our mission statement.

Now in Audio Mission Statement:
