Free Christian Audio Books

I think we can all agree that the World Wide Web is a treasure trove of information. Each and every day I run across websites that offer this info completely free and today I'd like to share some of those online resources with you.

Each of the sites I'm going to refer you to today offer free Christian audio books.

The first one Faith Comes by Hearing offers a free audio version of the bible. This audio version of the bible can either be streamed to you a chapter at a time or you can download the entire New Testament to listen at your convenience.

Next is Christian Audio.com which gives away a different premium audio book each month for free.

Another great resource is Free Christian Audio Books.com which offers many free Christian audio books every day.

There's also a good directory of Christian audio and video podcasts at God Cast 1000

You'll also find many more Christian resources on my Squidoo lens "Christian Living" I hope you'll stop by and have a look around soon and don't forget to leave me a comment in the guest book telling me what you think about it.

Okay that's it for now but I will be finding more free audio content and as I do I'll be listing it here for your enjoyment as well.

 God bless

Free Audio Books

The other day while surfing for new sources of free audio books on the web I ran across a site called Open Culture which claims it has "The Best Free Cultural & Educational Media on the web."

While this is a bold claim it does seem to have merit. The site is packed with all kinds of resources including lots of free audio books, university course, language lessons, pod casts and much more.

You'll find Open Culture's home page at  http://www.oculture.com or you use the links below to view the site by category. Either way I'm sure you'll find something of interest, I know I did and I'm sure I'll be visiting there again many times in the future.

Enjoy

Audio Book Specials for February

Pink Floyd Inside Out

Pink Floyd is one of my all time favorite bands, so when I saw this audio book written and narrated by Nick Mason I just had to have it.

Pink Floyd is one of the most creative, successful and enduring bands of all time.

As the only constant member throughout the 40 years of the bands existence, Nick observed every phase of their career from his drum stool, including their time as the darlings of London's late-1960s underground, the deterioration and departure of Syd Barrett, the huge worldwide success of "The Dark Side Of The Moon", one of the bestselling albums ever, the rift with Roger Waters, and the subsequent decision by Nick and David Gilmour to put their reputations on the line and continue as Pink Floyd.

On this audio edition of Inside Out , Nick Mason reads his personal history of Pink Floyd – each chapter linked by his selection of the sound effects that have been such a part of their distinctive sound. In addition to his own memories and research, his account has drawn on the thoughts and reminiscences of key players in the Floyd's saga, which he has updated to include the band's reunion with Roger Waters at the Live 8 concert in Hyde Park in July 2005.

_______
Reviews:

'Anything but a hymn of praise to the mighty Floyd. Mason's drummer's tale is unstintingly and amusingly disrespectful about the band' – The Sunday Times

'As charmingly English as Pimm's and heatstroke on a balmy summer's day' – Q magazine

'Rock's little drummer boy grows up into a sex cymbal. With a wit drier than an AA clinic, and a charm more disarming than a UN peace-keeping force, Nick Mason gives us a literary drum solo par excellence' – Kathy Lette
