This collection of classic audiobooks comes on a  DVD data disc. You can listen to the files directly from the disc on your PC or transfer them to your hard drive or portable mp3 player.

The files are available in 32kbps mono mp3 format to play on your mp3 player or computer.

No Digital Rights Management. You can copy these files, burn them to audio CD, load them on different mp3 players, etc.

There are individual mp3 files for each book chapter.

This free resource offers Christian audio books that have been produced using the very latest licensed voices from NeoSpeech and the "Text to Speech" software developed by NextUp Technologies TextAloud.  

I realize that digitally synthesized narration may not be for everyone but today the technology has advanced enough to meet the needs of many people, I think you'll be quite surprised as to how far this technology has come in the last year or so.

I think the quality of the narrations is especially acceptable for shorter and to the point audio books such as how to guides and so forth.

I did also notice that Free Christian Audio Books is also starting to list audio books that are narrated by a human. The first such audio book is Pilgrim's Progress by John Bunyan. If you enjoy the books they offer you should check back open as they add new books quite often.
